BIO

Laura (she/her) is a Canadian artist currently living and working in Stó:lō territory in Chilliwack, BC. Her practice involves a mixed material approach to painting and considers questions about motherhood and labour. Laura holds a BFA from the Alberta University of the Arts and an MFA from Emily Carr University (2025). She has received project grants from the Canada Council for the Arts, BC Arts Council, and the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation and was a finalist for the Salt Spring National Art Prize in 2021 and 2023. Recent exhibitions include Micheal O'Brien Exhibition Commons (Vancouver, 2025), Reach Museum (Abbotsford, 2024), Seymour Art Gallery (North Vancouver, 2023), and THIS Gallery (Vancouver, 2023).
